You can login to FinanzOnline using the citizen card directly from the start page. When you click on Mobile

Step 2: Enter your mobile phone number and signature password

… text fields appear to enter your mobile phone number and your signature password(?). Click on Identify

Step 3: Click on "Show Signature Data"

A new window appears with a comparison value. When you click on Show Signature Data, you can verify what you want to sign in the next step.

This is especially important for less trustworthy Websites.

Step 5: Receive SMS on your mobile phone

In the mean time you should already have received an SMS on your mobile phone. In the comparison value is the TAN(?) (6 characters)

Step 6: Enter the TAN from the SMS

You only need to enter the TAN in the input field and click Sign . - You are now logged on to FinanzOnline.

The citizen card on the mobile phone is triply secure.

  1. Every application requires you to enter a signature password(?) (6 to 20 characters).
  2. Next you will be sent an SMS, so you must have a mobile phone.
  3. The TAN code (in the SMS) is only valid for 5 minutes.

e-card

  1. First you insert the e-card into the card reader (you need to have an e-card for this)
  2. Then you are prompted to enter your card PIN(?).
  3. Then you must enter the signature PIN(?).
